Yogi government to soon start construction of double lane Ramganga bridge in Shahjahanpur

New Delhi| Yogi government, committed to making Uttar Pradesh a good state in terms of connectivity, is going to start the process of construction of Ramganga bridge with Shahjahanpur double lane soon. This new bridge will be constructed over Ramganga and Baigul river in Kolaghat tehsil and the work will be completed at a cost of Rs 137.02 crore. The new bridge will be constructed near the old bridge which will ease traffic on State Highway 163 and increase connectivity on Jalalabad-Shamshabad-Mohammadabad-Saurikh-Bidhuna road. This work will be completed by Uttar Pradesh State Bridge Corporation Limited, preparations for which have started.

An action plan has been prepared under the guidance of CM Yogi for the construction of Ramganga Bridge, work on which has started by Uttar Pradesh State Bridge Corporation Limited. According to the plan, this bridge will be 1802.14 meters long and double lane based which will be provided connectivity through access roads. Under the process, construction and development works will be completed in a total area of 2,202.14 meters in which protective works including two connecting roads of 200 meters are scheduled to be completed.

To complete the construction and development works of double lane bridge and connecting road, the preliminary phase report determination process including detailed project report (DPR), architectural design has started in the department and it is believed that soon the works will be implemented. The process of landing will also start. A period of 24 months has been set to complete all these construction and development works.

Along with this, the focus is on expediting the process of construction and development of double lane bridge on Khanua river near Keravaniya Ghat under Bhatpar Rani assembly constituency of Deoria. Here also the work of construction of connecting road and completion of security works will be completed.
