Yogi government to celebrate Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti with pomp on 17th October

Lucknow|Yogi government will celebrate Valmiki Jayanti with pomp on 17th October. Many grand programs will be organized during this period. On this day, Shri Ram Charit Manas recitation, cultural programs, bhajans, kirtans etc. will be conducted in the temples.

A mega program will be organized in Chitrakoot, the holy place of Maharishi Valmiki. Like every year, Yogi government will provide spiritual platform to local artists this year also. As per the instructions of Yogi government, Valmiki Jayanti will be celebrated in all the districts of Uttar Pradesh on 17th October.

Along with lighting lamps, donating lamps, recitations of Ramayana will be done at places and temples related to Maharishi Valmiki. These programs will be held at district, tehsil and development block level. CM Yogi has directed to make strict arrangements for cleanliness, drinking water, sound, light and security at every venue.

Yogi government will organize a big event in Lalapur Chitrakoot, the holy place of Maharishi Valmiki. Regional Tourism Officer Anupam Srivastava has been made the nodal officer of the program.

He told that the program will start at 11 am with garlanding of the statue of Maharishi Valmiki in Lalapur. There will be spiritual and cultural programs from Bhagwati Jagran Manch and the team. During this period, there will also be programs of worship, bhajan, recitation of Valmiki Ramayana, Lavkush incident etc. There will also be presence of local public representatives and public participation in the same.
