Yogi government to celebrate ‘International Tribal Partnership Festival’ on the birth anniversary of Birsa Munda

Lucknow| Yogi government will celebrate ‘International Tribal Partnership Festival’ from 15th to 20th November on the birth anniversary (Tribal Pride Day) of Birsa Munda. It will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. During this period, the folk culture of the country and abroad including the host state will enter the Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Natak Academy.

After the inauguration ceremony, a cultural gathering procession will also take place from 11 o’clock, in which artists from many states including host Uttar Pradesh will participate. There will also be cultural events every day from 5 pm to 9 pm. In this, folk dances of tribes like Sahariya, Buxa etc. can also be observed. On the other hand, there will also be a stage performance of tribal folk instruments. Pothi will also be able to view tribal books at home.

In the six-day event, the Yogi government will give a platform to artists from more than 20 provinces. This includes host Uttar Pradesh including Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Bihar, Mizoram, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, West Bengal, Goa, Assam, Tripura, Punjab, Jharkhand, Arunachal Pradesh. Are included. At the same time, special performances will also be given by folk artists from Slovakia and Vietnam.

After the opening ceremony on 15 November, a cultural gathering procession will take place from 11 o’clock. At the same time, artists from host Uttar Pradesh will perform stage performances of Genghi dance, Nagamatiya, Bean Badan, Kathputli.

During the program, Pothi will also be able to visit the books related to the tribe at home and know about the lifestyle, food habits and culture there. From 16 to 20 November, programs related to folk dances/folk songs of many provinces will continue continuously. Discussions will also take place from 12 noon. On 16th, there will be a discussion program on the contribution of revolutionary Birsa Munda in the freedom struggle, on 17th there will be a discussion program on tribal education and health awareness and solutions. On 18, discussions will take place from ‘Local to Global’ to the possibilities of entrepreneurship development in tribes. Its theme on 19 is Tribal Heritage Conservation and Promotion. On 20, there will be a discussion on the role of NGOs in tribal development.

On 19-20 November, there will be a presentation of a play based on the life of Jannayak Birsa Munda from the team of Madhya Pradesh. There will also be a stage demonstration of tribal folk instruments. Buxa, Sahariya tribe, Houjagiri dance of Tripura, Bhunjia tribal of Chhattisgarh will also be able to enjoy folk dance. Tribal Kavi Sammelan will also be organized on 20th November. There will also be magic programs. The event will also attract the taste of desi cuisine.
