Vehicles: The emphasis of companies to be on reducing the continuous sluggishness in sales; up to 40% sales expected in October-November
New Delhi| Vehicle manufacturers are confident in October. This includes Navratri, Dussehra and Diwali. Between 30 and 40% of annual sales are on these days. Car manufacturers are expecting an increase in seasonal demand. Automakers like Honda Motor, Hyundai, Mahindra & Mahindra and Maruti Suzuki are taking strategic steps to boost sluggish sales.
Vehicle manufacturers have three main strategies to increase demand. These include launching new models, offering substantial discounts and implementing price reductions. Many companies have already given discounts to attract customers. Tata Motors and JSW MG Motor have increased offers on select models.
Discount offer is already applicable in these companies
Maruti Suzuki: Prices of many models already cut. Up to 40,000 off Alto K10 and S-Presso. Offers up to 30,000 on WagonR. 2.5 lakhs discount on Jimny in Nexa showroom. There is an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000 for scrapping old vehicles.
Hyundai: Up to Rs 35,000 discount on Grand I10 Nios. Up to Rs 30,000 off on Aura sedan. Up to 45,000 advantage over Venue SUV.
Mahindra & Mahindra: Discounts on Scorpio Classic SUVs have been increased to Rs 1,00,000 in August. The discount on Thar has increased to Rs 1,50,000.
Honda: Profit increases to Rs 1,12,000 on Amaze sedan. City sedan is getting a discount of Rs 1,14,000.
Tata Motors‘ discount is till the end of this month. Discount up to Rs 3,00,000 on Ileik truck vehicles and up to Rs 2.03 lakh on petrol-diesel and CNG.
