UP: Alert at railway stations, bus stands and airports, security increased; Advisory issued
Lucknow| After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam (Jammu and Kashmir), security has been increased at Lucknow’s railway stations, bus stands and Amausi Airport. A high alert has been issued appealing to the passengers to cooperate in the investigation. Investigation is being done with the help of dogs and bomb disposal squads. An advisory has also been issued by the airlines.
Terrorists opened fire on tourists in Pahalgam. Due to this, as a precautionary measure, security has been increased at railway stations, bus stands and airports. Trains going towards Jammu from stations like Charbagh, Lucknow Junction, Utretiya, Gomtinagar etc. were checked on Wednesday. Apart from this, with the help of dog and bomb disposal squads, intensive investigation of the railway station premises was done by RPF and GRP teams.
Passengers’ luggage was also checked. Not only this, passengers have been appealed to provide information about suspicious objects and persons on the railway helpline or social media. Apart from this, security was also increased at Charbagh, Alambagh, Kaiserbagh and Kamta bus stands. In this sequence, passengers coming to Amausi Airport were examined thoroughly on Wednesday. CISF personnel specially formed teams and investigated. The investigation took a long time after boarding. The airline administration has appealed to the passengers to cooperate in the investigation and leave their homes after taking more time.

Advisory issued
An advisory was also issued by the airlines on Wednesday to the passengers going from Lucknow to Srinagar. Airlines like Indigo, Air India Express etc. have even said that they will not be charged cancellation charges if tickets are cancelled. This will provide a lot of relief to the tourists. Apart from this, there are preparations to run special flights by airlines.
