‘This is no less than gold for us’- Neeraj Chopra’s mother on winning silver

Paris| India’s javelin star Neeraj Chopra won silver medal in the Paris Olympics 2024. Neeraj threw a throw of 89.45 meters in the medal event which is also his best throw ever in the Olympics and he became the second Indian after Norman Pritchard to have won 2 medals in track one field event.

Neeraj Chopra’s mother said in her statement to ANI that we all are very happy in which even silver is no less than gold for us. He was injured but we are very happy with his performance. Neeraj Chopra’s father Satish Kumar said on his son winning the silver medal that everyone has some day or the other. Today was the day of Pakistani athletes but we are happy even after winning the silver medal and this is a proud moment for all of us. He has won a silver medal for the country and it will also act as an inspiration for the young generation.
