‘Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme’ becoming the basis for skilling youth
Lucknow| Uttar Pradesh is the state with the largest youth power in the country. In such a situation, the Yogi government has taken big steps towards empowering the youth power of the state and providing them skills as per the present and future needs. In this context, Swami Vivekananda Empowerment Scheme is proving to be very effective.
According to the vision of CM Yogi, a total of 46.75 lakh gadgets including 19.84 lakh tabs and 26.91 lakh smartphones have been distributed in the state between the years 2021 to 2023 under this scheme. Not only this, the Yogi government has a special focus on allocating 13.14 lakh gadgets (which include 12.94 lakh smartphones and more than 20 thousand tablets) to eligible students. In such a situation, the districts which have completed the process of distribution of gadgets to the eligible students in the state have been identified, out of which the result of 8 districts has been 100 percent.
At the same time, in the direction of distribution of tablets to students, 6 districts have had more than 70 per cent allocation rate and 10 top districts have had more than 69 per cent allocation successfully.
To empower the youth power in the state, not only smartphones and tablets are being distributed, but access and end to end monitoring of various government schemes and skill development courses is being provided through Digi Shakti portal. The project was started as a pilot project in 2021-22 for technical empowerment of the youth of the state.
In the year 2022-23, Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme was implemented in the state for 5 years. In such a situation, through the project, undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma courses, skill development trainees and students of courses like paramedical and nursing in higher and higher educational institutions are benefited through tab and smartphone distribution.

Swami Vivekananda Empowerment Scheme has emerged as a very meaningful step in the state towards promoting CM Yogi’s vision of youth empowerment. Under the process, the target of 100 percent distribution of smartphones in 8 districts of the state has been achieved while ensuring the process of distribution of smartphones and tabs to the eligible students. At the same time, in two districts it has been 99.99 percent. Prominent among them are Hardoi, Jalaun, Kannauj, Kasganj, Moradabad, Pratapgarh, Rampur, Unnao, Aita and Mirzapur.
Similarly, Sambhal is first in the achievement of the goals of tab distribution with 79.31 percent. At the same time, Moradabad is at second position with 74.88 percent, Bareilly is at third position with 74.05 percent, Shamli is at fourth position with 72.47 percent and Saharanpur is at fifth position with 71.25 percent.
Based on target achievement, Ghaziabad is situated at sixth position with 70.34 percent, Pratapgarh at seventh position with 69.85 percent, Gorakhpur at eighth position with 69.67 percent, Hathras at ninth position with 69.58 percent and Bijnor at tenth position with 69.18 percent.
