New Delhi| Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of social media giant Meta, has targeted iPhone manufacturing company Apple. Zuckerberg has alleged that Apple has not made any special invention after iPhone and the company has been taking advantage of iPhone only for the last 20 years. He also alleged that Apple is imposing arbitrary rules on developers.

During a podcast, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that ‘On one hand, iPhone is an amazing thing. Especially when almost everyone in the world has phones, this is an amazing thing. But Apple, on the other hand, has imposed many arbitrary rules and it seems that they have not invented anything new for a long time. Steve Jobs invented the iPhone and now the company has been sticking to it for the last 20 years Zuckerberg also said that the new models of iPhone lack major upgrades and due to this the iPhone is struggling for sales.

Zuckerberg alleged that the Apple company was making a profit by squeezing people by charging developers a 30 percent commission and prompting consumers to buy additional external devices such as AirPods. Zuckerberg said that ‘they make things like AirPods, which are fantastic, but they’ve completely inhibited the ability for anyone else to create something that can connect to an iPhone in the same way. The Meta CEO claimed that if Apple relaxes its rules, its profits could double. Zuckerberg also put Apple in the dock regarding privacy and security. He said that instead of banning third party developers, Apple should focus on increasing security measures.
