Starlink: Partnership between Airtel and SpaceX, satellite internet will be launched in India soon

New Delhi| Airtel has entered into an agreement with Elon Musk’s company SpaceX, under which there are plans to bring Starlink Satellite Internet to India, although this deal will come into effect only if SpaceX gets permission from the Indian government to sell Starlink services.
Key points of partnership between Airtel and SpaceX
Sales of Starlink Equipment: Airtel can sell Starlink equipment in its stores and offer it to business customers.
Internet in rural areas: This partnership will work to provide Internet services to rural schools, health centers and remote areas.
Expanding the Airtel network: Starlink can help improve Airtel’s network, and SpaceX can use Airtel’s infrastructure in India.
Airtel is already providing satellite internet
Airtel is already providing satellite internet services in conjunction with Eutelsat OneWeb. The addition of Starlink will increase internet coverage in remote areas and provide business and rural communities with more options for high-speed connectivity.
Gopal Vittal, Managing Director and Vice Chairman, Bharti Airtel, said that providing Starlink services to Airtel customers in India in collaboration with SpaceX is a significant achievement. This further strengthens Airtel’s commitment to next generation satellite connectivity.
