Shri Krishna birth celebration programs to start in Mathura from Saturday

Mathura| Sri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan has announced that Krishna Temple will be open for 20 hours on August 26 so that devotees can have uninterrupted darshan on Janmashtami. The temple is usually open for 12 hours.  Secretary of Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Samiti, Kapil Sharma and member Gopeshwar Chaturvedi said that various programs of the birth anniversary of God will start from Saturday which will continue till Thursday next week.

He told that this time the programs related to Janmashtami festival will be organized with the resolve to attain the ancient glory and form of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi. Chaturvedi told that the birth anniversary of God at the birthplace of Yogeshwar Shri Krishna will be celebrated on Bhadrapada Krishna Ashtami accordingly dated 26 August 2024 (Monday) as per classical decorum and traditions.

Kapil Sharma said, “In view of the Janmashtami celebrations, the temple will be open for 20 hours for the convenience of the local people and pilgrims”. He said that on Monday, the Mangala Aarti of God will be seen from 5.30 am with melodious playing of Shehnai and drums. After that, Panchamrit consecration of the Lord will be done at 8.00 am. The main program of Janambhishek will start at 11.00 pm with worship of Shri Ganesh-Navagraha etc. The Maha Aarti night of the Lord’s birth will last for 12:10 minutes. On the evening of Janmashtami, a traditional procession will be taken out from Bharatpur Gate by Shri Krishna Leela Mahotsav Committee which will reach Shri Krishna’s birthplace via Holygate, Chhatta Bazaar, Swami Ghat, Chowk Bazaar, Mandi Ramdas, Deeg Gate. He said that all preparations and arrangements are being ensured to make the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna grand and divine. Efforts are also being made to make the makeup, attire, decoration and arrangements of the temple of God panoramic.

Chaturvedi said that in accordance with the public sentiments, this time the resolution of the birth anniversary will be ‘. Shri Krishna – attainment of the ancient glory and form of the birthplace. He appealed to the devotees that the district administration has made arrangements for shoe houses and luggage houses on all the connecting roads of the birthplace, hence they should leave their shoes, slippers, bags etc. at the place of stay, Because on Monday, entry to Shri Krishna’s birthplace will be available from the northern gate located in Govind Nagar and exit will be from the eastern i.e. the main gate. He said that for the convenience of the devotees, medical camps and ‘khoya-paya’ centers will also be operated around the temple and at the main places.
