Share Market Opening Bell: Stock market greens intact; Sensex crosses 78000, Nifty also jumps higher

New Delhi| Greenery continues in the domestic stock market for the seventh consecutive day. Sensex and Nifty opened with positive trend in early trade. Sensex jumped 418.54 points to 78,402.92 in early trade on Tuesday, while Nifty climbed 107.85 points to 23,766.20 points. Apart from this, the rupee fell by 3 paise to 85.64 against the US dollar in early trade.

In early trade, the 30-share BSE Sensex opened 350 points higher beyond the 78,000 mark, while the 50-share NSE Nifty was trading around 100 points higher above the 23,750 mark. Both indices lost early gains around 9:25 am. Then Sensex was trading 177.26 points higher at 78,161.64 points, while Nifty was trading 55.20 points higher at 23,697.30 points. Early trading indicates that some investors may book profits after the recent rally.
