Shankar Eye Foundation providing new life to eye patients: CM Yogi
Varanasi| UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that with the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a new link has been added to Kashi’s campaign of service and development. The second branch of Shankar Eye Hospital has been inaugurated in Uttar Pradesh. This foundation is running a prestigious campaign to give new life to eye patients within the country. Inspired by Pujya Shankaracharya, this campaign which started in 1977 is working to bring new light in the lives of people through Shankar Eye Hospital in different areas of the country.
Chief Minister Yogi presented his views in the presence of Shankaracharya Jagadguru Shankar Vijayendra Saraswati and PM Modi at the inauguration ceremony of RJ Shankar Eye Hospital in Varanasi on Sunday.
He said that under the inspiration, guidance and leadership of PM Modi, Kashi 10 year is not only seeing new forms of development, but Kashi has also created new paradigms in the field of education and health every day. New projects of development and service have been added to the holy land of Baba Vishwanath. Work has been done here in the health sector at a cost of Rs 2,500 crore. In Kashi Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya Cancer Hospital, 430 bedded super specialty hospital, 100 bedded MCH wing at Sir Sunder Lal Hospital inside BHU, 150 bedded super specialty block at ESIC Hospital has been constructed.
CM Yogi said that upgradation of Pt.Deendayal Upadhyay Government Hospital, Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital, Shiv Prasad Gupta Divisional Hospital, construction work of 100 bedded maternity wing has been completed in District Women’s Hospital Kabirchaura. In order to provide excellent health facilities in Kashi, a new unit of RJ Shankar Eye Hospital is being inaugurated. As a major health hub, it will play an important role in meeting the needs of the people of Kashi, Eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
CM Yogi said that like Kashi, Uttar Pradesh has also done excellent work in the field of health in 10 years. People at the village level got excellent health and traditional medicine facilities through the establishment of medical colleges in every district, facility of dialysis-CT scan, more than 15 thousand Ayushman Arogya Temples. This campaign is growing rapidly in UP under the leadership of PM Modi.
