Ranveer Singh & Deepika Padukone becomes parents to a baby girl
Mumbai| Actress Deepika Padukone gave birth to a daughter on Sunday. Bollywood star couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone officially announced the news on Sunday. Many other celebrities including Arjun Kapoor, Sharvari and Ananya Panday congratulated the new parents and said that “Rani has arrived”. Ranveer wrote in the post, “Welcome baby girl on 8.9.2024… Deepika and Ranveer.” In the comments section, both their friends and colleagues from the industry congratulated them, whom their fans fondly call Deepveer.
The couple and their family performed puja at the Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai on 6 September before heading to the hospital. In February, Deepika and Ranveer announced their pregnancy. The actress was in her second trimester, when she shared the news.
The star couple first met in 2012 on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela”. The film was based on the tragic epic “Romeo and Juliet” by English playwright William Shakespeare. After this both were seen in films like “Bajirao Mastani” and “Padmavat”. Both will be seen in the upcoming film “Singham Again” directed by Rohit Shetty. Deepika Shetty has a new entry in the police universe, while Ranveer will be seen in a cameo avatar as Simmba.
