Rahul on meeting Hathras accident victims: ‘Shortage of administration, compensation should be granted properly”
Hathras| After meeting the bereaved families of the Hathras stampede accident, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has demanded immediate compensation from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to the victims. Rahul said, Compensation should be given properly. I request the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh to give compensation wholeheartedly. Compensation should be paid as soon as possible… I’ve had conversations with family members.”
Rahul Gandhi also said, “Sad thing. Many families have suffered losses. Many people have died. There is a lack of administration and mistakes have been made.”
121 people died in the stampede after the satsang. Police have arrested six servants including two women. A total of more than 20 people have been detained. Chief organizer Dev Prakash Madhukar is still absconding. A reward of Rs 1 lakh has been announced for his arrest.
