Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a three-day visit to Gujarat from January 10 to 12, during which he will take part in religious, cultural, developmental and diplomatic engagements across Somnath, Rajkot, Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.

The Prime Minister will begin his visit on the evening of January 10 in Somnath. At around 8 pm, he will participate in Omkar Mantra chanting at the Somnath Temple, followed by a drone show at the temple premises.

On January 11, PM Modi will take part in the Shaurya Yatra at around 9:45 am, a ceremonial procession organised to honour the warriors who laid down their lives defending the Somnath Temple over centuries. He will then perform darshan and pooja at the temple at around 10:15 am, before participating in a public function marking the Somnath Swabhiman Parv at around 11 am.

Later in the day, the Prime Minister will travel to Rajkot to participate in the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference for the Kutch and Saurashtra region. At around 1:30 pm, he will inaugurate the trade show and exhibition at the conference, followed by the formal inauguration of the regional conference at Marwadi University at around 2 pm. The Prime Minister will also address the gathering on the occasion.

From Rajkot, PM Modi will proceed to Ahmedabad, where at around 5:15 pm he will inaugurate the remaining stretch of Phase 2 of the Ahmedabad Metro, from Sector 10A to Mahatma Mandir, marking a significant milestone in the city’s urban transport infrastructure.

On January 12, the Prime Minister will meet German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Ahmedabad. At around 9:30 am, the two leaders will visit Sabarmati Ashram, followed by their participation in the International Kite Festival at the Sabarmati Riverfront at around 10 am.

The visit will culminate in bilateral engagements from 11:15 am onwards at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, where PM Modi and Merz will review the progress of the India-Germany Strategic Partnership, which recently completed 25 years.
