94 thousand government employees and officers of UP associated with ‘Mission Karmayogi’

Lucknow| Uttar Pradesh is also actively participating in the Mission Karmayogi program launched by PM Modi to improve the capacity building of government employees and officers and make them efficient as per future requirements. In accordance with the vision of PM Modi and under the leadership of CM Yogi, more and more government employees posted in the state are being encouraged to join this program. As a result, more than 94 thousand government employees and officers have been onboarded or registered in the Integrated Government Online Training (IGOT) portal established for the implementation of the program. At the same time, more than 45 thousand have enrolled themselves in the course, with about 29 thousand having completed the course. These include about 6 thousand officers. On September 2, 2020, the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Modi had granted approval to launch “Mission Karmayogi”.

Recently, in the presentation of Uttar Pradesh Academy of Administration and Management (UPAAM) before the Chief Secretary, information about the participation of Uttar Pradesh in Mission Karmayogi was given. Upam DG Venkateshwar Lu and Additional Director Sunil Kumar Chaudhary gave this presentation. Additional Director Sunil Kumar Chaudhary said that 43 departmental nodal officers of the state have been nominated on the I-GOT portal. At the same time, more than 94 thousand officials have been onboarded or registered. With more than 45 thousand course enrolments, 28,881 have completed the course. Among these, 5,921 officials have also completed their courses. Yogi government organized workshops through Employees to Karmayogi campaign in all the government departments of the state for active participation in the program, under which Employees to Karmayogi training was provided under the campaign in 14 training institutes of the state. At the same time, workshops were organized by field visits in 10 districts. Similarly, workshops have been organized so far in 8 departments.

Uttar Pradesh Academy of Administration and Management (UPAM) is playing an active role in implementing Mission Karmayogi in Uttar Pradesh. Under the programme, UPAM is expected to nominate Nodal Officers and MDOs (MDOs) for each department and various organizations of the state. Along with this, every nodal officer and MDO will be included on the iGot portal. Not only this, all the personnel of each department will be included on the portal through nodal officers. Apart from this, his major responsibilities also include organizing monthly meetings regarding uploading of personnel and course material by the departments and monitoring the onboarding of personnel and course material uploaded on the portal by various departmental nodal officers.

Mission Karmayogi aims to enhance the efficiency, transparency and accountability of civil servants, so that they can better meet the social and economic challenges of the country. Through this mission, education and training are continuously being provided for the personal and professional development of civil servants. Under Mission Karmayogi, the government introduces employees to new technology, leadership skills and administrative reforms, allowing them to work more efficiently and effectively. It also includes training and development programs for officers of various levels, so that they can continuously master their field of work. For this, iGot Karmayogi portal has been created, where government employees are provided the facility of various courses to improve their qualifications and skills.
