Noel Tata becomes the new chairman of Tata Trust

New Delhi|After the death of Ratan Tata, Noel Tata has been made the new chairman of Tata Trust in the board meeting of Tata Trust to choose his successor. The new chairman was elected only through the ongoing board meeting of Tata Trust in Mumbai.
Noel Tata is currently posted as Vice-Chairman in Tata Group companies Tata Steel and Titan. He started working at Tata Group in early 2000.

Earlier this year Noel Tata’s three children – Leah, Maya and Neville – were appointed as trustees in several trusts linked to the Sir Ratan Tata Trust and the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust.
Leah is currently the vice president at The Indian Hotels while Maya is associated with Tata Capital. Neville Trent and Star Bazaar are included in the leadership team.

Tata Trusts is a major body that manages the functions of all 14 Tata Trusts. Tata Trusts owns 65.3 per cent of Tata Sons and serves to guide India’s largest business conglomerate.
Tata Sons is largely owned by the two major trusts under the Tata Trusts – Sir Dorabji Tata Trust and Sir Ratan Tata Trust, which together hold over 50 per cent of Tata Sons.
