New criminal laws: First FIR registered in the country under the new criminal law

New Delhi| Three new criminal laws came into effect in the country from today. First FIR has been registered in country under three new criminal laws. This FIR was registered under the Indian Code of Justice on Monday at Kamla Market police station in Delhi. Charges has been filed against a street vendor under section 285 of the Indian Code of Justice.

According to Delhi Police FIR, the accused selling goods under the foot over bridge of New Delhi Railway Station is a resident of Bihar. He hails from Barh-Bakhtiyarpur in Bihar. Accused’s name is Pankaj Kumar and he sells goods by setting up street shops near the station. He is accused of selling cigarettes by setting up his shop on the road near the deluxe toilet under the foot over bridge of New Delhi Railway Station.

According to Delhi Police complaint, common people were facing difficulty in commuting due to his shop on the middle of the road. Passersby had verbally complained about it to police. After this FIR was registered against him.
