Meta’s 3600 employees job crisis, Zuckerberg said – new people will be hired

New Delhi| Meta prepares to lay off 3600 employees. The company can appoint new people in their place. The company will fire those who do not do good work. The company, owned by Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, said that CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s decision will affect five percent of its employees. Meta had about 72,400 employees as of September.
Zuckerberg said that I have decided to raise the standard of performance management and fire low performers. The purpose of the manpower cut is to ensure that the company has the strongest talent and is able to bring in new people.

Performance-based dismissals are a common practice in major U.S. companies. Microsoft announced similar cuts last week, affecting less than one percent of its employees, according to the report. Meta has been trimmed amid sweeping changes before Donald Trump returns to the White House on Jan. 20.
Zuckerberg has recently grown close with political figures. This includes dinner meetings with Trump and nominating a Republican as Meta’s head of public affairs. Last week, Zuckerberg announced the end of the company’s US fact-checking program. Its aim was to combat misinformation on its platform.
