Maldives President Muizzu and his wife visits the Taj Mahal

Agra| Maldives President Dr. Mohammed Muizzu and his wife Sajida Mohammed, who are visiting India, visited the Taj Mahal on Tuesday.
President Muijju and his wife were overwhelmed by the sight of this heritage symbol of love and said, ‘Wah, Taj!’.

The time set for Muizzu’s visit to the Taj Mahal was from 8:55 to 9:55 am. In view of this, the entry of tourists into the Taj Mahal was stopped from 8 to 10 in the morning. During this period, the ticket windows located at East and West Gates also remained closed. UP Government Minister Yogendra Upadhyay said that this is a historic moment to keep the friendly relations between India and Maldives strong.

President Muizzu had reached New Delhi on Sunday, where he was welcomed at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday. He said that his country’s policy of ‘Maldives First’ will not have any impact on India’s relations. He stressed that Maldives will never do anything that harms India’s security. Maldives’ relations with other countries will not affect relations with India. This journey will further strengthen it.

In New Delhi, the President of Maldives expressed his gratitude to India for the USD 400 million currency swap agreement with India and the Rs 3000 crore help. India rolls over US$100 million Treasury bill to cash-strapped Maldives. Muizzu thanked India for the help provided and said that India has always stood with Maldives in its time of need.
