Mahakumbh: Roadways to run seven thousand buses for Mahakumbh 2025

Prayagraj| In view of Prayagraj Mahakumbh, a meeting was held at the Transport Corporation headquarters regarding the operation of buses. Corporation spokesperson Ajit Kumar Singh said that the Transport Corporation will run seven thousand buses for the fair. 550 shuttle buses will also be run. In this, 200 city buses and 350 corporation buses will run on local routes. The Additional Managing Director held a meeting with all the regional managers and reviewed the preparations.

He said that an action plan has been made by dividing the Mahakumbh fair into three phases. The first phase will take place between 12 and 23 January, the second between 24 January and 7 February and the third phase between 8 and 27 February. The main bath is on 13, 14, 29 January and 3 and 26 February. Regional managers will be deployed to operate buses from temporary bus stations. These temporary bus stations will be built at eight marked locations.

Check posts will also be built on Lucknow, Ayodhya, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Mirzapur, Banda routes. A central control room will be established at the headquarters. Officers posted in Regional and Central Control Room Prayagraj will monitor the crowd at bus stations through CCTV.
