1 cup wheat flour
1 cup desi ghee
1 cup sugar
3 cups milk (or as needed)
1/2 cup dried fruits (cashews, almonds, raisins)
4-5 cardamom, ground
1/2 teaspoon saffron (optional)

Bhog of Ahoi Ashtami: Method of making flour halwa
1. First of all, keep the pan on medium flame and add some desi ghee in it and heat it.
2. Now add wheat flour in hot ghee and stir continuously and fry till it turns golden. While roasting flour, take care that it does not burn.
3. Slowly add hot milk to the roasted dough and stir continuously. Take care that no lumps form.
4. When the milk becomes thick, add sugar to it and mix well. Cook until the sugar dissolves completely.
5. After this add dry fruits and ground cardamom and mix well.
6. If you want to use saffron, soak it in hot milk and then add it to the halwa. Saffron will give a beautiful color and fragrance to the halwa.
7. Cook the halwa until it thickens and thickens.
