Lucknow: National Water Award handed over to Chief Minister Yogi

Lucknow| Under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh was given three awards in four months for its excellent work in the field of water management and water conservation. Which were handed over to the Chief Minister by the department officials.

Uttar Pradesh was ranked second in the country in the category of best state for its excellent work in the field of water conservation and water management along with providing tap connections to every household in rural areas. Recently (October), President Draupadi Murmu had given this award to Uttar Pradesh, which was handed over to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In the best state category, Odisha was ranked first and Gujarat-Puducherry were jointly ranked third.

Under Jal Jeevan Mission, Uttar Pradesh received three awards in four months. Under the Har Ghar Nal Yojana, Uttar Pradesh has provided tap water to most of the houses. The achievements of Uttar Pradesh were honored. Uttar Pradesh had received the Scotch Gold Award on 13 July for the Ganga Cleanliness Campaign and other river conservation works under the Clean Ganga Mission. Uttar Pradesh was presented the Best Display Award by Union Minister Giriraj Singh on 27 September for putting up an exhibition of the works and achievements of Jal Jeevan Mission in Uttar Pradesh at the Noida International Trade Show-2024. The officials of the department also handed over this award to the Chief Minister.

On 22 October, President Draupadi Murmu presented the National Water Award to Uttar Pradesh for water conservation and providing tap water to every household in rural areas. Uttar Pradesh got second place in this category. Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Department, Uttar Pradesh has created its own unique memento. This was also handed over to the Chief Minister on Thursday.

This award was handed over to the Chief Minister by Namami Gange Additional Chief Secretary Anurag Srivastava. The Chief Minister patted the backs of Namami Gange and rural water supply officers for this achievement. Also directed that as per the intention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh has achieved an unprecedented achievement. Under tap tap, clean water should be continuously supplied to rural areas.
