LPG Price: Inflation shock at the beginning of the month; Prices of commercial, free trade LPG gas cylinders increased

New Delhi| Oil companies have changed the prices of commercial LPG gas cylinders. This change is going to increase the burden on people’s pockets. In fact, the prices of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders have been increased by Rs 48.50. At the same time, the prices of five kg free trade LPG cylinders have increased by Rs 12. The increased prices have come into effect from from October 1.

The prices of commercial LPG gas cylinders were changed in the month of July. The price of 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinder was cut by Rs 30 from July 1. Oil companies had earlier cut the prices of commercial LPG gas cylinders in April. On March 1, oil companies had announced an increase in the prices of LPG cylinders. The prices of 19 kg commercial cylinders were increased by Rs 25.


Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) revise the prices of LPG on the 1st of every month. Price fluctuations depend on fuel costs and market conditions.
