Inflation: Retail inflation for farm workers plummeted to 3.73% in March

New Delhi| Retail inflation for farm workers declined to 3.73 percent in March 2025. In February it was 4.05 per cent. This was confirmed in the latest data released on Wednesday. Retail inflation for rural workers declined to 3.86 percent in March 2025, according to official data. In February, the figure was 4.10 per cent.
The All India Consumer Price Index for Agricultural Laborers (CPI-AL) and Rural Laborers (CPI-RL) declined by 3 points and 2 points to 1,306 and 1,319 points respectively for the month of March 2025, a Labor Ministry statement said. CPI-AL and CPI-RL stood at 1,309 points and 1,321 points respectively in February 2025.
According to the data, “Annual inflation rates based on CPI-AL and CPI-RL for March 2025 were recorded at 3.73 per cent and 3.86 per cent respectively”. In March 2024, it was 7.15 percent and 7.08 percent. The corresponding figures for February 2025 were 4.05 percent for CPI-AL and 4.10 percent for CPI-RL”
