Income Tax Department launches ‘e-pay tax’ facility on the portal
New Delhi| The Income Tax Department has launched ‘e-pay tax’ facility on its Aadhaar online portal. The department said that it has taken this decision keeping in mind the convenience of the taxpayers. Now taxpayers will be able to pay their taxes easily. The department further said that now the days of long queues in banks, tedious form filling and last minute tax payment worries are over. To make tax filing easier and convenient, and taking another step towards empowering people digitally, the Income Tax Department has launched ‘e-pay tax’ facility on its official online portal.

The Income Tax Department said that this facility will remove obstacles in the tax payment process. It will also encourage the culture of paying taxes on time. The department further said that this facility brings tax administration closer to citizens, especially individuals and small businesses, and provides them a direct digital path.
