Government employees of Uttar Pradesh to get salaries before Diwali, order issued

Lucknow| Uttar Pradesh government has given a gift to its employees and pensioners. Salary for the month of October will be received before Diwali. Additional Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar has issued an order in this regard.

The government order issued states that due to Diwali on 31 October, Govardhan Puja on 2 November and Bhai Dooj and Chitra Gupta Jayanti on 3rd November being public holidays, the Governor has given salary to all the state employees and aided educational and technical educational institutions, urban local bodies and work charged employees and pensioners receiving pension from the treasuries of Uttar Pradesh Approval has been given to pay the salary and pension/family pension of October 2024 to the family pensioners on October 30.

Soon increased dearness allowance will also be announced for state employees and pensioners. The Center has announced a three percent increase in dearness allowance. With this, the rate of dearness allowance payable since 1 July has now increased from 50 per cent to 53 per cent. The state government may soon issue an order in this regard.
