Ingredients for making ginger pudding
500g ginger
1 cup milk
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup desi ghee
1/4 cup cashew nuts
1/4 cup almonds
1/4 cup raisins
1 pinch cardamom powder
1 pinch of saffron
Method of making ginger pudding
1. First of all, peel and wash the ginger and cut it into thick pieces.
2. Now heat desi ghee in a pan and add ginger pieces to it and fry until it turns golden.
3. After this, add milk to roasted ginger and cook on medium flame. Keep stirring occasionally so that the milk does not curdle.
4. Then when the milk remains half, add sugar and mix well.
5. Now cook this mixture until the milk dries completely and the ginger melts and becomes soft.
6. Now add cashews, almonds and raisins to it and mix well.
7. Finally add cardamom powder and saffron and mix.
8. Take out the halwa in a plate and serve it hot. If you want, you can garnish it with almonds and pistachios.
Keep these things in mind
1. While frying ginger, use low flame so that it does not burn.
2. Cook the milk until it dries completely so that the pudding becomes thick.
3. You can also add other dry fruits as per your choice.
4. If you like sweets more then you can increase the amount of sugar.
5. The pudding can be stored in the fridge for 2-3 days.
