Demonstration of UPPSC candidates against normalization continues for the second day

New Delhi| Candidate students are protesting against the normalization of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC). Students gathered outside the headquarters. At the same time, Rapid Action Force (RAF) has been deployed along with the police team for security.
The agitation of competitive candidates against UPPSC continues for the second consecutive day. Even on Monday night, when a large number of competitive students gathered outside the Commission headquarters, the situation was similar on Tuesday morning too. Women candidates were also among the protesters.

The protesting competitive student told IANS that all the competitive students come from normal and poor families. He has the responsibility not only of him but also of his family. He sarcastically asked how dictatorial officials would decide how the future of the students would be organized?

Another protesting candidate said, students are aware and intelligent, they know how to fight for their rights very well. Students have been protesting all night without eating anything. We strongly oppose normalization.
Allahabad University student Naveen Pal told that such a change has never been made before, then why is the commission making such a change. There have been discrepancies before, the process lasted for a long time, but it never happened. Conducting the examination in two phases and the normalization formula is not logical.

Earlier on Monday, Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission had declared the purity of examinations and convenience of the candidates as its priority. On the dissatisfaction being expressed by a section of the candidates regarding normalization in the examinations, the spokesperson of the Commission had said that with the aim of preserving the sanctity of the examinations of the Commission and the future of the students, the examinations are being conducted only at those centers where there is no reason for any kind. There is no possibility of any irregularities.
In the past, many types of irregularities have come to notice in remote examination centres, making the future of deserving students uncertain. To end this and to conduct the entire examination on the basis of merit, these centers have been removed.
It may be noted that in protest against the decision of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission to conduct the examination of Provincial Civil Services (PCS) ‘Pre’ and Review Officer (RO) Assistant Review Officer (ARO) for two days, students staged a protest at the gate of the Public Service Commission on Monday. Started protest which continues for the second day also.
