‘Democracy was strangled in the last session of the Parliament’- PM Modi
New Delhi| The monsoon session of Parliament begins from today. The country’s budget will be presented in this session. Before the start of the session, PM Modi addressed the nation outside the Parliament. PM Modi said that today is the first Monday of Sawan. An important session is starting on this auspicious day. I wish the countrymen a happy first Monday of Sawan.
In his address, PM Modi said that I see this as an important milestone in the glorious journey of India’s democracy. It is also a matter of great pride for me personally and for all our colleagues that after almost 60 years a government got majority for the third time and will present the budget. PM Modi said that democracy was strangled by the opposition in the last session. The voice of the Prime Minister of the country was suppressed for two and a half hours. PM Modi said that Parliament is for the country and not for any party. PM Modi also mentioned that the budget will be presented on 23 July. PM said that the budget we will present tomorrow is an important budget of ‘Amritkaal’. This budget will decide the direction of our five years. This budget will strengthen the dreams of a developed India for 2047. It is a matter of great pride for every countryman that India is the fastest growing country among the countries with big economies. We are moving forward with 8 percent growth continuously in the last 3 years.
