UPMRC to Celebrate Metro Diwas on 5th September 2024, Marking 7 Glorious Years of Lucknow Metro Train Operations

Lucknow| Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation is thrilled to announce a special celebration to mark the 7th anniversary of Lucknow Metro operations on 5 September 2024. The event will take place at Hazratganj Metro Station. Since its inception, Lucknow Metro has proudly served over 10 crore passengers, reflecting its critical role in transforming urban transportation in Lucknow. To commemorate this significant milestone, we will honor the 10 croreth passenger along with the top three GoSmart recharge holders, recognizing their invaluable association. The felicitation will be done by the Managing Director, UPMRC, Shri Sushil Kumar.

We are also delighted to announce that Padmashri Dr. Arunima Sinha, the world’s first female amputee to scale Mt. Everest will join us as our Chief Guest. Her inspirational journey aligns perfectly with the spirit of progress and resilience that Lucknow Metro embodies.
