New Delhi| Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav announced the decisions taken in the cabinet meeting held on Wednesday. He said that the cabinet of PM Modi led NDA government has approved one scheme after another to benefit the farmers.

“Today approval has been given to allocate a subsidy of Rs 24,475 crore for NPK fertilizers (Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium)”, he said. The government has taken major decisions to keep farmers untouched by the disruption in supply chains and global prices across the world. The Cabinet has taken this decision to allocate nutrient-based subsidies to keep farmers unaffected by the challenges posed by the conflict, especially in the Middle East and Russia-Ukraine.

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said the Cabinet has sanctioned Rs 35,000 crore for PM Annadata Income Protection Abhiyan-PM-ASHA. At the same time, a scheme worth Rs 79, 156 crore has been approved for tribal welfare under the Pradhan Mantri Tribal Unnat Gram Abhiyan.

On cabinet decisions, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, “The Chandrayaan-4 mission has been expanded to add more elements”. The next step is to send a human mission to the Moon. All preliminary steps for this have been approved. Venus Orbiter Mission, Gaganyaan Follow-on and Indian Space Station and Next Generation Launch Vehicle Development have also been approved.

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav informed during Cabinat’s briefing that an expenditure of Rs 2,104 crore has been approved on Chandrayaan 4’s extended mission. As part of Chandrayaan 4’s extended mission, a crew of astronauts will return to the Moon. The Union Cabinet also approved the first module of the Venus Orbiter Mission and the Indian Space Station.
