New Delhi| When Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman reached the Finance Ministry before presenting the budget, her style looked different. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s simple look was seen in Mithila painting saree. She had put a shawl with her saree. It is said that this saree was presented to her by Padma awardee Dulari Devi of Bihar.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who is going to present the budget in Parliament, has worn a special saree to honor the skills of Mithila Kala and Padma awardee Dulari Devi. Dulari Devi is a Padma Shri awardee in 2021. When the Finance Minister visited Madhubani for credit outreach activity at Mithila Art Institute, she met Dulari Devi. There was an exchange of views with him on Madhubani art in Bihar. Dulari Devi presented the saree to the Finance Minister and asked him to wear it on the budget day.

Wore a blue saree in 2024
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the interim budget in February 2024, ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. Then she reached Parliament wearing a blue saree. This saree had an ivory colored print. He also wore a chain around his neck. In Indian religious scriptures, blue color is considered a symbol of strength and bravery. It is also considered a symbol of authority along with positivity and confidence.

The look of 2023 was special too
In 2023, the Finance Minister had chosen the red colored Sambalpuri saree. The traditional temple border was made in this saree of hers. This red colored saree was given a black border stripe, in which complex golden work was done.

Look of 2022
In the 2022 budget session, the Finance Minister wore a handloom silk saree. She had a dark maroon colored blouse match on a brown colored saree. There was also a very beautiful print on this saree.

Look of 2021
During the 2021 general budget, the Finance Minister was seen in a red and off white silk Pochampally saree. This saree of hers had off white detailing and golden border.
