Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday interacted with students, teachers and parents from across the country during the ninth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha, underscoring the importance of board examinations in shaping a student’s academic journey.

During the discussion, PM Modi highlighted the crucial role of board examinations and urged students to treat them as a priority, describing them as the foundation on which future opportunities are built.

“Board exams should not be taken lightly,” he said, adding that disciplined preparation and clarity of concepts are essential for success.

The Prime Minister said a strong grasp of the board syllabus also helps students prepare for competitive examinations, noting that a clear understanding of prescribed chapters reduces the need for additional effort. “If you understand your board syllabus well, you don’t need to put in a lot of extra effort for competitive exams,” he said.

Prime Minister Modi also stressed that clear concepts and proper study habits allow students to prepare for both simultaneously, reducing unnecessary stress and duplication of effort.

The session saw students raise questions on exam anxiety, career choices and study techniques, while teachers and parents shared their perspectives on supporting children during the examination period.

PM Modi’s responses focused on encouragement and practical strategies, reiterating that examinations should be approached with confidence rather than fear.

Pariksha Pe Charcha, now in its ninth year, has emerged as a national platform aimed at helping students overcome exam-related stress, build confidence and seek guidance on academic and career-related issues.
