There may be 4.5 lakh recruitments in the IT sector in the first half
Recruitment in the country’s information and technology (IT) sector could increase by 7-10 per cent in the first half of 2025. Throughout the year, the sector could create between 4 and 4.5 million new jobs. The IT sector had seen stagnation in the fourth quarter of FY 2024-25 with income increasing by one to three per cent year-on-year. Sunil Nehra, CEO (IT Staffing), First Meridian Business Services, said this shows that companies are adopting a more targeted approach to global technology investment. There is continuous investment in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing, Data Engineering and Automation. This shows confidence in new technology. Its effect is also visible on recruitment. According to NLB Services CEO Sachin Alug, the average attrition rate across the industry has stabilized at 13-15 per cent. Several companies will recruit more than 10,000 freshers in 2025-26.

While acquitting the accused in the adultery case, the Delhi High Court, citing the Supreme Court’s decision, said, when a party loses moral commitment in a marital relationship, it is a matter of complete confidentiality. Thinking about adultery as a crime would be like going into the past. This means that if someone cheats in a husband-wife relationship, it is their personal matter. It is not right to consider it a crime. High Court judge Justice Neena Bansal Krishna said in the judgment that the apex court had declared Section 497 unconstitutional, saying that it considered woman as just a victim who had no will of her own. Justice Krishna said, under the law, a woman who committed adultery was not punished. He was considered a victim who was seduced. This expresses malevolent thinking.
