All eyes on the return of Virat-Rohit in Kanpur Test

Kanpur| The second match of the two-Test series between India and Bangladesh will be played in Kanpur from 27 September. Earlier in Chepauk, the Indian team proved itself on every scale and took a 1-0 lead in the series. R.Ashwin was the top performer while Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill and Ravindra Jadeja also left their mark. At the same time, the bats of senior batsman Virat Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma remained silent.

It is estimated that the Green Park pitch will be flatter than the surface bounce in Chennai and the bounce will also reduce as the Test progresses. There was regular bounce on the red clay pitch of Chennai and that is why both the teams entered the field with three fast bowlers and two spinners. Even though the pitch was not getting much turn, the bounce was enough for the spinners. Ravindra Jadeja and R Ashwin also set an example of this and together they took nine wickets in the second innings of Bangladesh. Considering the possibility of Kanpur pitch slowing down, both the teams can bring changes in their strategy and selection. An additional spinner can replace the third fast bowler. A place can be made for either Kuldeep Yadav or Axar Patel in the Indian team.

On one hand, India will be eyeing to capture the series by winning this match, while the visiting team would like to draw the series by winning the Kanpur Test. With the series win, Rohit Brigade has a chance to make many records, which include team and individual records.
