Accident- 18 dead as double decker bus collides with milk container on Lucknow-Agra Expressway
Unnao| A horrific accident took place in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh where a double decker bus collided with a milk container in Behta Mujawar police station area on Lucknow-Agra Expressway. 18 passengers on the bus died in the accident, while about 20 people are said to be injured. The dead included 14 women, 3 men and a child. It is being told that the bus was en route to Delhi.
According to the information received by the police, accident took place at around 05:15 am on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway under Behta Mujawar police station area. Police officials informed that all the injured passengers were admitted to CHC Bangarmau for the treatment.
A statement issued by the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s Office said that CM Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the road accident in Unnao district and has expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased. The Chief Minister has instructed the officials to immediately reach the spot and carry out relief work expeditiously.
