Biz Updates: India contributed $37.64 million to the UN regular budget; UN expressed gratitude

New Delhi| India has paid US$3.764 crore to the UN regular budget for 2025. In this way it has joined the list of 35 Member States that have paid the United Nations its regular budget in full and on time. According to the United Nations Committee on Contributions, as at 31 January 2025 35 Member States have paid their regular budget assessments in full within the 30-day due period specified in the United Nations Financial Regulations.

UN General Assembly President Philemon Yang said last week that India is fulfilling its duty as a member of the United Nations by paying its obligations in full and on time. Yang will visit India from February 4 to 8.
