UP: 46 IAS officers transferred, Sanjay Prasad appointed as Principal Secretary of Home Department

Lucknow| The Uttar Pradesh government has made large-scale changes at the government level. Among these, the scope of work of 46 IAS officers has been changed. After this, changes have also been seen in the scope of work of many principal secretaries. These changes are expected to infuse new energy into the administrative structure of the state.
Under this change, the UP government has given important responsibility to Sanjay Prasad. Prasad has been appointed to the post of Principal Secretary Home. He is currently working as Principal Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office. Now he will also handle the charge of Home Department. Earlier, Sanjay Prasad was playing an important role as Principal Secretary of the Chief Minister’s Office and now his new charge is considered important considering his administrative experience. It is being told that Sanjay Prasad has been deployed with the aim of making security and law and order more effective.
Apart from Sanjay Prasad, Vaibhav Srivastava has been appointed to the post of Home Secretary. His role as Home Secretary will be to run the law and order and administrative functions of the state smoothly.
Ajit Kumar has been appointed to the post of Secretary Agriculture Department. As Secretary of the Agriculture Department, his responsibility will be to promote agricultural development in the state and improve the condition of farmers. Anuj Kumar Jha has been made Secretary Urban Development. As Secretary, Urban Development Department, he will monitor the improvement and development works in urban areas. MK Sundaram has been removed from the post of Principal Secretary Basic Education. New officers can be deployed in their place, so that the pace of improvement in the field of basic education can be accelerated.
Apart from this, changes have been made in the scope of work of many other IAS officers in the state, in which some officers have got new posting. After the retirement of many officers, new appointments have been made in their place.
