Artists from 22 states to get a platform in Uttar Pradesh’s ‘Tribe Participation Festival’
Lucknow| The Yogi government has decided to celebrate the International Tribal Partnership festival from 15 to 20 November. On the birth anniversary of Birsa Munda (Tribal Pride Day), various artists from India and abroad, including the host state, will spread the colors of their folk cultures at the Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Natak Academy.
Uttar Pradesh Social Welfare Minister Aseem Arun said that after the inauguration ceremony, a cultural gathering procession will also take place from 11 am, in which artists from many states will participate. Cultural programs will also take place every day from 5 pm onwards. In this, folk dances of tribes like Sahariya, Buxa etc. can also be observed. On the other hand, tribal folk instruments will also be performed on the stage. People in Pothi Ghar will also be able to view tribal literature books.
The event will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. During this period, the folk culture of the country and abroad including the host state will enter the Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Natak Academy. It will also feature events by folk artists from Slovakia and Vietnam.
Aseem Arun reported that from 15 to 20 November, there will be a confluence of 38 folk dances from 22 states. In this, the audience will be aware of Domkach, Jhijhi, Jawara, Nagamatiya, Genghi dances of host Uttar Pradesh. Oraon of Bihar, Jhainta of Uttarakhand, Bhagauria of Madhya Pradesh, Baiga, Ramdhola, Natua of West Bengal, Cheraon of Mizoram, Aka of Arunachal Pradesh, Shammi of Punjab, Irula of Kerala, Gandi, Bhunjia of Chhattisgarh, Mati Mandri dance of Uttar Pradesh. The audience will also come face to face. Sirmauri Nati of Himachal Pradesh, Kalbelia, Langa, Magjihar and Teratali of Rajasthan, Bardoi and Shikhla folk dances of Assam will also be presented in Uttar Pradesh. A confluence of Haujagiri of Tripura, Khadiya of Jharkhand, Kunbi of Goa, Siddhi Dhamal of Gujarat, Mongo (Bakarwal) of Jammu and Kashmir, Singhi Chham of Sikkim, Sanghi Mask of Maharashtra, Ghudka of Odisha and Fugdi folk dance of Karnataka will also be present in this program. will be.
During the programme, stalls of books related to tribal literature of India will also be set up in Pothi Ghar. In this, books related to tribal songs, dance, painting, rituals, sports and lifestyle of the country will be available for sale and display. People will also be able to know about the lifestyle, food habits and culture there. During the festival, programs related to folk dances/folk songs of many provinces will continue continuously. Discussions will also take place from 12 noon. On 16th November, revolutionary Birsa Munda’s contribution to the freedom struggle, on 17th November, there will be a discussion program on Tribal Education and Health – Awareness and Solutions. This will be followed by a discussion on 18 November from ‘Local to Global’ on the possibilities of entrepreneurship development in tribes. At the same time, on November 19, its theme is Tribal Heritage Conservation and Promotion. On the last day, 20 November, there will be a discussion on the role of non-governmental organizations in tribal development.
There will be a presentation of a play based on the life of Jannayak Birsa Munda on 19-20 November from the team of Madhya Pradesh. In this, Tribal Kavi Sammelan will also be organized on 20th November in which artists of nomadic caste will also showcase their art. There will also be magic programs. The taste of desi dishes will also attract people in the event.
In the program, Jigmi Bhutia of Sikkim, Chhabhildas Gawli of Maharashtra, Pooja Kamad of Rajasthan, Surendra Sori of Chhattisgarh, Maujilal of Madhya Pradesh, Booti Bai and team on Genghi dance of Uttar Pradesh, Suganaram on Ravana Hatha of Rajasthan, and Sand Art of Uttar Pradesh will be included. Bhaskar Vishwakarma will give his presentation. Vishwajit Singh and team on Oraon folk dance of Bihar, Durgesh Rana and team on Jaunsari folk dance of Uttarakhand, Miali Sidosa and his team on the genre of Aka-Ana of Arunachal Pradesh, Vasudev Saha and team on Ghudka genre of Odisha, and Madhya Pradesh. Sanju Sen Balod and his team will stage performances of tribal folk instruments. Rajkumar Raikwar and his team will give a theatrical presentation based on Birsa Munda.
