L&T Energy to set up NTPC thermal power plants in Madhya Pradesh and Bihar

New Delhi| L&T Energy CarbonLight Solutions, a business arm of Larsen & Toubro (L&T), said it has received “Limited Notice to Proceed” (LNTP) approval from NTPC to set up major thermal power plants in India.

The project, worth over Rs 15,000 crore, is for the construction of Stage-II thermal power plants at Gadarwara in Madhya Pradesh and Nabinagar in Bihar, according to the company’s official statement. This includes contracts for the main plant package of 2×800 MW thermal power plant at Gadarwara and 3×800 MW plant at Nabinagar in LNTP. “L&T Energy CarbonLight Solutions has received ‘Limited Notice to Proceed’ (LNTP) from NTPC Limited for setting up thermal power plants in Madhya Pradesh and Bihar”, the company said.

This scope will include design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, installation and commissioning of key components including boilers, turbines, electrostatic precipitators (ESPs) and other essential systems. L&T will also handle related mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and civil engineering aspects of these projects.
