Mahakumbh 2025: Rejuvenation of temples to be completed by November

Prayagraj| Devotion will be at its peak in Mahakumbh 2025, the biggest event of Sanatan Dharma. While lakhs and crores of people will pay their respects by taking bath at the Sangam, the holy place where Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati meet.
Keeping this in mind, along with the preparations for Mahakumbh, the Yogi government has also taken the initiative to rejuvenate the temples of Prayagraj, which is now nearing its end. The work of corridor and renovation of all the temples of Prayagraj with mythological importance is almost ending. Out of a total of 19 such projects, 17 projects will be completed by 15 November, while 2 projects will be completed by 30 November.
After Diwali, work is being done at a faster pace. Recently, instructions regarding this have been given by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Tourism and Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in the review meeting of Mahakumbh in Lucknow. It was told that three major departments are working in the projects related to the corridor and renovation of temples. Tourism Department, Smart City and Prayagraj Development Authority have an important role in this. All three departments have started completing all these projects at a fast pace with mutual coordination.
There are a total of 15 projects related to the temple corridor and restoration on which the tourism department is working. According to the Department of Tourism, 14 of the 15 projects will be completed by 15 November, while one project will be completed by 30 November. Projects to be completed by 15 November include restoration of Bhardwaj Corridor, Dvadash Madhav Temple including Mankamaneshwar Temple Corridor, Padila Mahadev Temple, Alopshankari Temple and 9 other temples.
Similarly, Smart City is working on 3 major projects and all three projects will be completed by November 15. This includes major projects like Akshayavat Corridor, Saraswati Well Corridor and Patalpuri Corridor. At the same time, Prayagraj Development Authority is giving concrete shape to two projects. In this, the target is set to complete the renovation work of Nagavasuki temple by 30th November, while the work of Hanuman temple corridor will be completed by 10th December.
Additional Fair Officer, Mahakumbh Vivek Chaturvedi said that the preparations for the fair are progressing at full speed. The work of corridor and renovation of temples is also going on in the final stage. The fair administration has paid special attention to the faith as well as convenience of all the devotees and tourists coming to Mahakumbh, so that their visit proves to be memorable.
