UP Cabinet approves 27 proposals, reduces minimum posting in college from five years to three years

Lucknow| The cabinet meeting chaired by UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath approved 27 proposals. Approving the Assisted College Teacher Transfer Rules 2024, the minimum posting in the college was reduced from five years to three years. Information about the decisions taken in the meeting was given by Finance Minister Suresh Khanna and Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev. He said that a decision was taken regarding transfer of teachers of aided degree colleges. Teachers will now be able to get transferred only after three years instead of the minimum service of five years. He informed that the Rules for Higher Education Department, Uttar Pradesh Aided College Teacher Transfer Rules 2024 have been approved. The minimum posting in the college was reduced from 5 years to 3 years and amendments in the Private Universities Act 2019 in UP got the green signal.

At the same time, educational institutions of other states will also get an opportunity to be established in the state. The proposal to identify and provide 2.3239 hectares of land in Chakrauli Pargana Bijnor in Tehsil Sarojini Nagar for the establishment of Lucknow campus of Central University of English and Foreign Languages in Lucknow has been approved.

Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh said that 1850 villages of Sambhal, Amroha and Moradabad will benefit from the approval of the Phase II revision proposal of the Madhya Ganga Canal Project. Along with this, the second revised proposal of Bhaurat Dam Project in Lalitpur was approved. The drought affected area of Bundelkhand will benefit from the approval of the proposal for Ken Betwa Link Project.

To meet the shortage of veterinarians in the state, the proposal to prepare a policy for diploma and certificate courses for animal husbandry courses has been approved. The state government has not made any changes in the new molasses policy while approving it. Like last time, 19 percent molasses will be provided for country liquor. Sugar mills will have to pay a Kuntal regulatory fee of Rs 20. There is a system to provide molasses to small scale industries also. The proposal to amend the FDI policy was also approved.

Along with this, the incentive proposal for investment of Rs 300 crore under Uttar Pradesh Electronics Manufacturing Policy 2020 has got the green signal. The amendment proposal in Uttar Pradesh Retirement Benefit Rules 1961 for retired state employees has been approved. Under this, if a government employee does not leave any of his nominees or heirs after retirement, then the money for his gratuity would have been absorbed by the government, but now the proposal to change it under the new policy has been approved. Now if a person submits a succession certificate from the competent court in such circumstances, this money will be given to him.

Apart from this, the proposal for setting up an International Yoga and Health Center in Baghpat district has been approved. Free transfer of 1.069 hectares of land in village Haryakhewa of Baghpat tehsil has been approved to the tourism department. The proposal to develop the heritage buildings of the state by Public Private Partnership to preserve them has received the green signal from the Cabinet.
