Dhanvantari Jayanti: PM Modi to launch 12,850 crore rupees health projects

New Delhi| Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch, inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several health sector projects worth about Rs 12,850 crore at the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) on the occasion of Dhanvantari Jayanti and 9th Ayurveda Day. The Prime Minister will expand the healthcare coverage of all senior citizens aged 70 years and above, making a fresh start in the Ayushman Bharat scheme. All the elderly will benefit from this, irrespective of their income.

The Prime Minister’s Office said, “The Prime Minister aims to provide quality health services across the country”. Under this, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of many institutions for the development of health facilities. Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the second phase of the country’s first All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA). It will include Panchakarma Hospital, Ayurvedic Pharmacy for Drug Manufacturing, Sports Medicine Unit, Central Library, IT and Start-up Incubation Centre, and a 500-seat auditorium.
Apart from this, the Prime Minister will inaugurate three medical colleges in Mandsaur, Neemuch and Seoni in Madhya Pradesh.
New health services will also be inaugurated in Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh, Kalyani in West Bengal, Patna in Bihar, Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, Guwahati in Assam and AIIMS in New Delhi, which will also include Jan Aushadhi Kendras.
PM Modi will also inaugurate the super specialty block at the Government Medical College in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh and the critical care block in Bargarh, Odisha.

The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of five nursing colleges in Shivpuri, Ratlam, Khandwa, Rajgarh and Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh. Simultaneously, 21 critical care blocks in Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Manipur, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan will be constructed under the Ayushman Bharat Health Framework Mission. Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate ESIC hospitals in Indore (Madhya Pradesh) and lay the foundation stone of ESIC hospitals in Faridabad in Haryana, Bommasandra and Narasapur in Karnataka, Indore in Madhya Pradesh, Meerut in Uttar Pradesh and Achuthapuram in Andhra Pradesh. These projects will provide health services to approximately 5.5 million beneficiaries.

The Prime Minister will also launch drone services in 11 major health institutions so that health services can be made easily available. These institutions include AIIMS Rishikesh, AIIMS Bibinagar (Telangana), AIIMS Guwahati, AIIMS Bhopal, AIIMS Jodhpur (Rajasthan), AIIMS Patna, AIIMS Bilaspur, AIIMS Rae Bareli (Uttar Pradesh), AIIMS Raipur (Chhattisgarh), AIIMS Mangalagiri (Andhra Pradesh), and Imphal (Manipur). Besides, PM Modi will also launch helicopter emergency medical service from AIIMS Rishikesh, which will provide faster medical service in case of emergency. Prime Minister Modi will launch the U-WIN portal, which will completely digitalize the vaccination process for pregnant women and infants. This will enable pregnant women and children up to 16 years of age to receive vaccines against 12 diseases in a timely manner. Also, the Prime Minister will launch another portal which will act as a centralized database for health professionals and institutions.
