Microsoft gave 665 crore to its Indian-origin CEO, 63% more salary than last year

New Delhi| Microsoft Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella has received $79.106 million or Rs 665.15 crore as salary in 2024. The tech giant gave this information in a US stock market (SEC) filing on October 24, 2024. This is the second highest salary given to Nadella after joining the company. He had previously been paid $84 million in 2014. The company gave this information in a stock filing on Thursday.
Microsoft’s Indian-origin CEO Satya Nadella’s salary stood at $79.1 million (about Rs 665 crore) in FY2024. In the last financial year i.e. 2023, $48.5 million (about Rs 408 crore as per current value) was paid to Nadella.
Nadella’s salary has been increased by the company due to increase in share prices. The company’s shares have benefited from the strengthening of the company’s market position in the matter of Artificial Intelligence.
During this period, the valuation of the company’s shares increased by 31.2% to more than $3 trillion (Rs. 252 lakh crore). The company’s CEO Satya Nadella also benefited from this and his income through shares increased to $71 million (Rs 597 crore) from $39 million (about Rs 328 crore) last year.
