‘Police played a major role in maintaining the rule of law’- CM Yogi at the Police Memorial Programme

Lucknow| Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the ‘Police Memorial Program 2024’ organized at Lucknow Police Lines. He first took the salute of the parade. During this, the Chief Minister said that the state police has played a big role in maintaining the rule of law.

Chief Minister Yogi said that this year has been very important for us. The police force has made a significant contribution in conducting the Lok Sabha elections peacefully with the consecration ceremony of Lord Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. Financial assistance of 36 crore 20 lakhs has been provided by the state government to the dependents of martyred policemen, Central Para Military Forces and military forces of other states and 115 martyred personnel of UP working in the Indian Army in the line of duty. He said that Rs 3 crore 50 lakh was provided for the convenience of the policemen deployed in the districts in the state. Similarly, 30 lakh 56 thousand rupees were given for the disposal of medical reimbursement 266 cases of working and retired police personnel and their dependents.

The CM appreciated the work of the state police force and said that many types of processions and political processions were completed by the police with better management. In the program, the CM also announced relief for the martyred policemen, retired policemen and dependent families of the deceased. After the address, CM Yogi met the family of martyred UP policemen Rohit Kumar and Sachin Rathi and honored them. He said that the state police has done better work and is continuously discharging its duties to maintain law and order. The Union Home Ministry has honored more than a thousand policemen for their devotion to duty.

CM Yogi said that more than 100 police officers and employees dedicated to their work in the state were given medals by the President on Independence Day and Republic Day.
