Yogi government to carry out comprehensive rejuvenation of 21 warehouses in 10 districts

Lucknow| Committed to making Uttar Pradesh a better state, the Yogi government is also making continuous efforts towards increasing the storage capacities of the state. Multi Modal Logistics Hub (MMLH), which acts as a dry port in the state, is being developed in Dadri, Greater Noida at a cost of Rs 7,064 crore in an area with a spread of 823 acres.

On the other hand, to ensure wide connectivity of this logistics hub, Multimodal Transport Hub (MMTH) is being developed in Bodaki, Greater Noida. Along with working on these two big projects, the Yogi government has started working on a plan to increase the storage capacity of the state and prepare it as per the future needs.

In this sequence, a blueprint for comprehensive rejuvenation of 21 warehouses in 10 districts of the state has been prepared. This work will be completed by Uttar Pradesh State Warehousing Corporation. The warehouses of Uttar Pradesh State Warehousing Corporation which have been selected for the rejuvenation process. He is located in Fatehpur, Gorakhpur, Etawah, Farrukhabad, Mahoba, Hardoi, Ghazipur, Shahjahanpur, Bulandshahr and Ghaziabad districts.

As per CM Yogi’s vision, an expenditure of Rs 15.14 crore is estimated on the comprehensive rejuvenation process of 21 warehouses of Uttar Pradesh State Warehousing Corporation selected under the process. Work is being done on a plan to improve the basic infrastructure of all these warehouses and prepare them according to their future needs, including repair work. Necessary changes and reconstruction process will also be completed to increase the storage capacity in some warehouses.

Under the prescribed procedure, 4 warehouses will be rejuvenated in Bulandshahr while 6 warehouses will be rejuvenated in Shahjahanpur. More than 3 crore funds will be spent on the rejuvenation of 3 warehouses located in Part-A, Part-B and Part-C in Naveen Mandi, Bulandshahr.

At the same time, the development works will be completed with an amount of Rs 44.46 lakh in the warehouse located in Secunderabad, Bulandshahr. Similarly, preparations have also been made for the rejuvenation of 6 warehouses located in Jamour, Shahjahanpur. 1.9 crore in Jamour-A’s Part-A warehouse, 67.34 lakh in Jamour-A’s Part-B, 73.36 lakh in Jamour-A’s Part-C, 1.16 crore in Jamour-C’s Part-A, Construction and development works will be completed by spending an amount of Rs 97.23 lakh in Part-B of Jamour-C and Rs 26.09 lakh in Part-C of Jamour-C.

Under the detailed action plan prepared for the rejuvenation of warehouses as per the vision of CM Yogi, in the current process there will be a makeover of 2 warehouses each in Gorakhpur, Ghazipur and Etawah. The warehouse in Gida Industrial Area of Gorakhpur will be rejuvenated with Rs 1.35 crore and in Chauri-Chaura with Rs 39.60 lakh. The warehouses in Jangipur Part-A and Part-B of Ghazipur will be rejuvenated with funds of Rs 26.25 lakh and Rs 1.31 crore respectively.
