Performing Kanya Puja on Navratri Ashtami2024, so make delicious halwa-chana with this recipe for Kanjakas

In this sequence, tomorrow i.e. Thursday is the eighth day of Navratri (Navratri Day 8), but according to the Panchag, this time Ashtami (Navratri Ashtami 2024) and Navami will be celebrated together on 11 October. On this occasion, many people will also perform Kanya Puja. Most of the people perform Kanya Puja on Ashtami and Navami days and also feed them at home.
During Kanya Puja, halwa-puri and gram are usually made and Kanya Bhoj is organized with this. In such a situation, if you are also going to organize Kanya Bhoj at this Ashtami-Navami house, then you can make delicious Hawla and Chana with this easy recipe.

Ingredients for pudding
1 cup semolina
1 cup sugar or to taste
1 cup ghee
2 cups water or milk
1/2 cup chopped dry fruits (cashews, almonds, raisins)
1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
A pinch of saffron (optional)
Method of making
1. First of all, heat ghee in a pan on low flame and then add semolina and stir continuously and fry till it turns golden brown.
2. Now boil water or milk in a separate vessel. Then add roasted semolina to it.
3. After this add sugar to it and mix well. Now cook the halwa until it thickens.
4. Finally add cardamom powder, saffron and chopped dry fruits.
5. Mix everything well and cook for a few minutes, until everything is available.

Ingredients for gram
1 cup chickpeas (soaked overnight)
1-2 green peppers (finely chopped)
1 teaspoon ginger paste
1 teaspoon cumin
Salt as per taste
1 tablespoon ghee
Fresh coriander (for garnish)
Method of making
1. First of all, boil the soaked gram until it becomes soft and filter it and keep it aside.
2. Now heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds and let it crackle. Add ginger paste and green chillies to it and fry for a minute.
3. After this add boiled gram and salt and mix well and cook for about 5-7 minutes.
4. Finally garnish it with fresh coriander leaves and serve.
