Prime Minister Modi surpasses 30 million YouTube subscribers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has crossed 30 million subscribers on YouTube, becoming the most-subscribed world leader on the platform.

According to publicly available rankings, PM Modi leads other global leaders by a wide margin. Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, who ranks second among world leaders on YouTube, has roughly one-fourth of Prime MInister Modi’s subscriber base.

The Prime Minister also has more than seven times the number of subscribers of U.S. President Donald Trump on the platform.

Within India, PM Modi’s YouTube following is about three times that of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and more than four times that of the Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress separately.

This achievement comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier crossed the historic milestone of 100 million followers on Instagram, becoming the first world leader and politician to achieve this feat on the platform.

PM Modi joined Instagram in 2014. He has more than twice as many followers as US President Donald Trump on the platform. The total count of followers of the next five major world leaders combined is lower than PM Modi’s individual follower count. US President Donald Trump holds the second spot with 43.2 million followers.

Other world leaders on Instagram include Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto with 15 million followers, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva with 14.4 million, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan with 11.6 million and Argentine President Javier Milei with 6.4 million.

Within India, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ranks second among political leaders on Instagram with around 16.1 million followers, followed by Rahul Gandhi with approximately 12.6 million.
