‘Every Indian draws strength from their enduring courage’: PM Modi pays homage to 2019 Pulwama bravehearts

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday paid heartfelt tributes to the 40 CRPF personnel who lost their lives in the 2019 Pulwama attack, saying their courage and devotion to the nation continue to inspire every Indian.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister said, “Remembering the brave heroes who laid down their lives in Pulwama on this day in 2019. Their devotion, resolve and service to the nation remain forever etched in our collective consciousness. Every Indian draws strength from their enduring courage.”

India is observing the seventh anniversary of the attack, which is remembered as a ‘Black Day’ in honour of the fallen soldiers.

NATION REMEMBERS SUPREME SACRIFICE

Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan also paid homage to the martyrs, stating that their supreme sacrifice will forever remain engraved in the nation’s memory and continue to inspire efforts to build a strong and secure India.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said terrorism remains the greatest enemy of humanity and reaffirmed India’s resolve to eradicate it completely. “I pay homage to the brave soldiers who were martyred in the Pulwama terrorist attack, remembering their valour. The country will always remain indebted to the courage, dedication and sacrifices of our security forces and agencies that confront terrorism,” he said on X.

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari offered “endless salutations” to the brave soldiers who were martyred in the attack.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said the sacrifice of the soldiers reflects the invincible resolve of Indian valour to eradicate terrorism from its roots.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta described the nation as forever indebted to the indomitable courage of the fallen personnel, while Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said their martyrdom will never be forgotten.
